GTA 6 Platforms
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here is everything we know about each version.
PlayStation 5 Version
The PS5 version of GTA 6 takes full advantage of the console's custom SSD, enabling dramatically reduced load times and seamless open-world traversal. The DualSense controller features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are expected to enhance immersion during driving and combat sequences.
Sony has partnered closely with Rockstar on previous GTA titles, and the PS5 version is expected to include platform-specific features such as 3D audio support and Activity Cards that let players jump directly into missions or activities.
Xbox Series X|S Version
On Xbox Series X, GTA 6 targets high-resolution visuals with the console's 12 teraflops of GPU power. The Series S version will naturally target a lower resolution but is expected to maintain consistent frame rates and the same core gameplay experience. Quick Resume support on Xbox allows players to switch between GTA 6 and other games instantly.
Smart Delivery is expected to ensure that players get the best version for their console, whether they own a Series X or Series S.
PC Version Status
As of now, Rockstar has not officially announced a PC version of GTA 6. This follows a pattern seen with previous Rockstar titles, including GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, which launched on consoles first and arrived on PC months or years later. Many in the gaming community expect a similar timeline for GTA 6.
While no PC-specific details have been shared, a PC release would likely feature higher frame rates, ultrawide monitor support, ray tracing enhancements, and mod support. We will update this page as soon as Rockstar makes any official PC announcements.
