Grand Theft Auto VI is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and in a modern version of Vice City, Rockstar's take on Miami within the GTA universe.
Beyond the main city, the game also features rural areas, swamps, highways, beaches and suburban zones that reflect the climate, culture and aesthetic of the American Southeast.
The story follows Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, a criminal duo caught up in heists, social media madness, and the kind of chaos the series is known for. Lucia is the first female playable lead in a mainline GTA game.
Together, they form a duo shaped by their past and the circumstances around them, forced to work side by side to survive in a world filled with danger, fragile loyalties and difficult choices that directly influence how their story unfolds.
At launch, the game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been announced yet, although previous GTA titles eventually came to PC, so many fans expect the same to happen here.
The console version will take advantage of new-generation hardware, offering faster loading times, improved stability and higher visual detail.
